Are you in the market for a simple, 2 ingredient dinner? This barely even qualifies as a recipe…maybe it is more of just a recommendation?!? We had this tonight because I didn’t want to have to put any real thought into what to cook. Walked into the pantry, saw the dressing and decided that’s what we are having!
Let me start with this disclaimer…this is not very healthy but it is delicious! And…it is chicken so it’s not all bad. 🙂
Chicken Breast or Tenderloin
(You can make as much or as little as you desire…I normally do about 2 lbs to feed my family of 5 and it pretty much fills the skillet.
Also, I almost always use frozen chicken…just make sure it isn’t’ still frozen when you put it in the pan!)
1 Large Jar of Italian Dressing
Time to Prepare: 45 Minutes
This is so easy. Are you ready for these complicated directions?
Cut chicken into bite size pieces. In large electric skillet, warm entire container of Italian dressing.
Put chicken pieces in skillet and continuously turn as needed to get all sides cooked. I like to fry this on pretty high heat (about 350 degrees) and it will end up creating a glaze that can then be poured over the chicken again when its taken out of the skillet for serving. You will know it is ready when it starts to caramelize and turn brown. If you cook it low and slower, it is still good but it won’t ever glaze…the chicken will remain white.
Don’t have 45 minutes…put the chicken and Italian dressing in the crock pot on low for the day or in the InstaPot! I like the skillet with the glaze the best but my family loves it all 3 ways!
Hope you all enjoy!
